New Zealand on Air Sting

July 16, 2012

Funny to see this again after so many years! I produced this sting in 1998 and it was still on New Zealand television in 2004 when I returned from the UK. I’d like to think it’s because it’s a timeless classic but I suspect it has more to do with budgetary limitations not allowing for regular updates. Maybe the commission simply liked it which is very flattering. The language at the start is native New Zealand or Maori and the Silver Ferns in the background are one of New Zealand’s best known national icons (next to the kiwi of course).

Below are the original raw storyboards.
